Dog Days of Summer Happy Hours return to the Hotel Helix

Beginning Wednesday, May 21st

The Washington Humane Society is pleased to announce our third summer of Happy Hours at the Hotel Helix, during which Washingtonians and their four-legged friends enjoy specialty cocktails and appetizers on the lounge’s spacious outdoor patio to benefit the programs and animals in the care of the Washington Humane Society. The pet-friendly happy hour takes place every Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm and features a Bark Bites Menu with doggie treats and drink spring water for the pups, and tasty treats and cocktails for the owners. A portion of the proceeds from drinks such as the Pet Peeve ($7) Tail Ale ($5) are donated back to the Washington Humane Society.

Every week, the Washington Humane Society will bring an adoptable dog to meet patrons and maybe even find a new home. Hotel Helix will donate a complimentary overnight stay to any patron who adopts a dog through the happy hour.

Helix Lounge and the Washington Humane Society are partnering with animalattraction.com to launch Washington’s first pet-friendly singles night. The “Frisky Business Happy Hour” – a match-making event dedicated to single pet owners – will kick off on Wednesday, May 21st,  from 5pm to 8pm. Following that evening, it will take place on the first Wednesday of every month, though September. Guests and their pets will be invited to meet, mingle and sniff on the patio, and take part in fun activities. In addition, Helix Lounge will fire up the grill and serve up a “Frisky Business Happy Hour Special” featuring munchies, beer, and a bag of doggie treats for the price of just $5.
