The Washington Humane Society has compiled listings of Washington, D.C. apartment buildings and property management companies that have pets-allowed policies. The listings are divided into categories of cats only, dogs only, and dogs/cats allowed.

Getting A Paw In The Door

You can be your own best advocate in your search for pet-friendly housing. If you are a responsible guardian, can demonstrate that your companion animal is well-cared for, and can offer references, you may be able to convince landlords to bend their ‘No-pets” rules for you.
