WASHINGTON'S FIFTH ANNUAL
"A SUGAR AND CHAMPAGNE AFFAIR"
A night on the town… with man's best friend
(WASHINGTON, DC) December 2006 - The 5th annual
"A Sugar and Champagne Affair" event, created
by Todd and Ellen Gray of Equinox restaurant in Washington, DC,
will be held on January 23rd, 2007, at the Hotel Palomar (2121 P
Street, NW, Washington, DC) from 7pm to 9pm.
Guests and their dogs will be greeted by the world’s finest
sparkling wines, champagne and delicious desserts from the metropolitan
area’s top Pastry Chefs.
“A Sugar and Champagne Affair”
benefits the Washington Humane Society's Law Enforcement and Humane
Education Programs. The event honors our city's animal cops who
fight animal abuse in Washington, DC, 365 days of the year.
For those wishing to start the evening a bit earlier, a VIP reception
will be held in one of Hotel Palomar’s suites where guests
can feast on canapés prepared by Chef Todd Gray of Equinox
and Chef Richard Brandenburg of Urbana. The cost is $200 and includes
admission to the event. Want to have dinner pre-event? Urbana Restaurant
in the Hotel Palomar will offer a two-course dinner with wine pairings,
priced at $175. Dinner also includes event admission.
The cost of Sugar and Champagne is $75 per person.
The cost to attend the VIP Reception, dinner at Urbana and “A
Sugar and Champagne Affair” is $300. Tickets can be purchased
