Hi, I’m Rocko! I’m an 8 month old boy and I’m in the shelter because my owner moved to a place that doesn't allow dogs. :(

I'm a very enthusiastic, social guy with an gregarious personality! I enjoy squeaky toys and playtime (fetch is a favorite of mine!), and I enjoy hugs and snuggletime. I'm pretty dominant with other pups so I'd do best in a home as an "only pup" or with a more submissive canine pal. I've got a good deal of self-confidence and I can be a little pushy at times, so I'd do best with a strong owner who is used to handling larger-breed dogs and who will provide me with consistent leadership and boundaries. Oh yes and I’m going to be about 80+lbs when I'm all grown up!

Hi, I’m Tigger! I'm a 1 year old Mastiff mix and I'm in the shelter because some nice people who work here rescued me from a window well that I was trapped in (I know, craziness!) on Webster Street in NW DC.

I'm a friendly, enthusiastic gal and I already know "sit!" I'm relaxed with food and treats (sometimes I even share!), and I'm quite tolerant and receptive to humans. I'd do well in a home where I am provided with training, leadership, and a whole lotta love! And I'm just about full grown at 60lbs!

Hi, I'm Chloe! I'm a 2 year old girl and I'm in the shelter because my owner's landlord said I had to go. :(

I'm a gentle, curious girl in need of a bunch of tasty meals to fatten me up a bit! I love to play and explore everything in my environment, I respond well to strong leadership, and I get along absolutely perfectly with other pups! I enjoy hugs and feel calmed by them as well as clear direction. I'm a little undersocialized with people but I'm learning every day and I'm constantly improving. As long as I have a strong, confident and consistent "pack leader" in my new forever home, I'm going to do just fine! Oh and I'm all grown up at about 38lbs (though I should be about 45-55 at my ideal weight!) AND I'm already housetrained!

I'm a VERY friendly, social girl who just wants to be loved. :) I'm an appeasing, gentle player, I go crazy over squeaky toys (so I'm a good candidate for "fetch!"), and I'm really responsive to clear leadership, hugs, kisses, cuddles... well, just about anything you want to do! I bond strongly with people so I'd thrive in any loving home (preferably without any super small animals as I do have a high prey drive and I can get confused!). Oh yeah and I should be about 55lbs when I'm at my healthiest weight. :)

I was exploring Annapolis for a new forever family one minute, and the next I was here! I am a playful, enthusiastic, sassy guy. I’m independent but I do like snuggles once I get to know you. I get excited in new situations and could benefit from training and boundaries in my new home (leash training too!). I don’t shed much, am full grown at about 35lbs, and I’m ready for my new family. Oh and I get along well with other pups!!

I'm very social and sometimes I can get a little pushy when I start to give you kisses (and you seem to enjoy it!), but all you have to do is tell me a clear no and I'll calm down almost immediately!
