bedrock.jpg

Bedrock (4604639) is a gorgeous 9 month old Pit bull Terrier who was surrendered by his owner because they just didn't want him anymore. We can't understand why - Bedrock is a fantastic, people-loving, goofy adolescent pup who loves to play. He's tolerant, gets along well with other dogs with the help of some verbal corrections and leadership, and loves to tug on toys. Though happy and energetic, he doesn’t get out of control and responds really well to people's lead. Because of his energy level, we recommend no smaller children in his new home. But as long as he's given boundaries and training, this lovey-dovey boy is the perfect new canine addition to a loving household. And he's nearly full grown at 50lbs.

AND - because he's so smart - Bedrock is a member of our SIT Program! Click the link below for more info! (Adoption Pending)

marley.jpg

Marley (4611537) is an unbelievably adorable 2 month old Mastiff mix who was surrendered by his owner because he just didn't have enough room for him in his apartment. Marley is a very cute, goofy boy who loves touch! He is a gentle player, loves squeaky toys and just adores people. He is a little timid at times and unsure of himself with other dogs, so he'll need additional socialization and training in his new home. Marley will be about 75lbs when he's full grown. Come meet this handsome pup today! (Adoption Pending)

ratatouille.jpg

Ratatouille (4617964) is a super adorable 7 month old Rat Terrier mix who was nearly hit by a couple driving on Riggs Rd. in NE DC. Ratatouille is a very enertetic pup who loves to run and play. He gets along well with other dogs, adores squeaky toys, and absolutely loves giving kisses and sitting in your lap! He is a little hesitant around certain men so he just needs love and patience in this area. Other than that, if given leadership, boundaries and training in his new home, this 20lb pup will make an amazing pet!

jaime.jpg

Jaime (4617738) is an adorable 8 year old Shih Tzu who was surrendered by her owner because she claimed he didn't like her children. Jaime is an older, mature pup who adores belly rubs, is independent and confident. He has some dominant tendencies but is never aggressive and likes to be petted. He doesn't get along very well with other dogs and needs a bit more socialization in this area, or he'd do well as an only pup. We prefer his new owners to have some experience with his breed and with senior dogs in general. This cutie is full grown at only 15lbs, making him the perfect apartment-size pup!

blackie.jpg
blackie2.jpg

Blackie (4666459) is a very handsome 1 year old Labrador Retriever who was surrendered by his owner because of issues with the landlord. Blackie is an incredibly energetic pup who needs consistent leadership, training and boundaries in his new home. He loves people and likes to get close to you and give lots of licks, but needs to learn not to jump up and how to better walk on a leash (we recommend using a "gentle leader" to assist with this). He'll need lots of physical and mental stimulation in his new home and would be a good candidate for canine sports or with owners with a very active lifestyle. As with all purebreds, we recommend his new owners have some familiarity with his breed. Blackie is full grown at 55lbs, come down and meet this happy pup today!

jerome.jpg

Jerome (4674593) is a gorgeous 1 year old purebred American Bulldog who was found romping around a woman's yard in the 4300 block of G Street SE. Jerome is a happy pup who is very tolerant (even when we took away his food) and responds very well to verbal correction and leadership. He plays kind of rough with other dogs (which is appropriate behavior for his breed) but is never aggressive, and he is confident and comfortable in his own "fur." Simply due to his size (he is full grown at 63lbs of mostly muscle) and breed, we recommend no small children in his new forever home. We also require his new owners to have experience with or knowledge of his breed. Come down and meet this good-looking beau today!
