Neko
is a 7-year-old male Chihuahua/Terrier mix whose previous owner was moving and couldn't take him along. Neko is small, low-energy guy who would make a perfect companion for apartment living. He's full grown at about 12 pounds. Like most Chihuahuas, he's nervous at first and will need time to bond with his new family.

Skye
is a 2-month-old female Husky/Shepherd mix whose previous owner purchased her from a newspaper add but a relative in the home was not happy about the new addition. Skye is a rambunctious, playful girl who like all young puppies will need training and socialization in her new home. She will likely grow to be about 50-60 pounds.

Bonita
is a 5-month-old female "Pippet" (that's our fancy name for a Whippet/Pit Bull Terrier mix). Bonita's former owner asked us to come pick her up because she couldn't afford to take care of her. We found Bonita living on a balcony with all of her ribs showing. It didn't take her long to put on some pounds and now she's ready for a loving new family! Bonita is super sweet, affectionate, and loves to play! She will likely weigh around 45-50 pounds when full grown.

Jona, Jada & Jay
are 2-month-old kittens whose previous owner said she already had too many cats and couldn't take care of them. These kitties are quite shy at first and need a home with someone who can socialize them and give them time to adjust to their new families. They are best suited for a home with someone who has experience with cats and kittens.

Fluffy
is a 2-year-old Lhasa Apso whose previous owner decided she didn't have enough time for him. Fluffy is a quiet, little guy who is shy at first and takes his time warming up to new people. He's best suited for a home with someone who has experience with small breed dogs. He gets along well with cats and other dogs, but is not recommended for a home with young children. Fluffy appears to be housebroken and he makes a great walking partner, although he won't require a lot of exercise. (Left: Before grooming. Right: Looking fabulous after a trip to the groomer!)

Cali
is a 1-year-old female calico cat who was rescued from a house where someone was hoarding cats. Cali is very sweet and friendly. She loves to be petted and will constantly purr for you! She has been at the shelter for more than 73 days, and we can't figure out why this fabulous cat still hasn't found a home!

Obama
is a 1-year-old male who managed to get himself stuck in a tree for four days! Not even the pouring rain could force him down, but lucky for Obama, one of our Animal Control Officers came to his rescue. If you don't fall in love at first sight with his round, fuzzy face, Obama's playful antics will win you over! This little man can turn anything into a toy--an ink pen on your desk, a discarded scrap of paper, or even the dog's tennis ball! Obama gets along well with dogs, cats and kids.

Missy
is a 10-month-old Pit Bull mix who was given up by someone because their landlord didn't allow pets. Missy is a sweet, playful girl who loves to be touched and sit next to you. She's a bit insecure and will need some training and socializtion in her new home. She's full of playful energy and gets along well with other dogs. She's good with children, as long as they're old enough to handle all of her bouncing around! She's full grown at about 50 pounds.
